Patients with diabetes or blood sugar disorder should monitor their blood sugar level on a regular basis as this drug can affect the blood sugar level. Patient taking this medicine for the first time may get suicidal thoughts, especially patients younger than 24 years old. In that case, the patient needs to visit the doctor for regular check ups. A caregiver should always be present around and with the patient all the time. Patients taken MAO in past 14 days should take this medicine or should wait fir another 14 days before taking Cymbalta. Taking any other medication should be reported to the doctor as it could terminate the risk of drug interaction. If the patient is allergic to ay of the ingredients on the label then this medicine should not be taken. While the patient in under this anti depressant drug, driving and performing heavy duties with machineries should be avoided. This drug should not be taken by pregnant women and nursing mothers.
